Can you tell me what each individual contact is for on the battery? I believe there are 4 contacts!

For Windows phone is this

1. On Start, tap People
2. Flick to All, then find and tap the contact you want to delete.
3. Tap More , and then tap Delete.
4. If the contact is a linked contact, one contact card with multiple accounts associated with it, you'll need to tap the account you want to remove from that contact.
5. Tap Delete.

For Android is

1. Navigate to the "Contacts" or "People" menu.
2. Find the contact that you want to delete
3. Press and hold the name of the contact you want to delete (for Android 4.1 or 4.2 Jelly Bean). If it is (4.44 or kitkat) just tap once and a drop down will appear for both or additional options.
4. press delete and done.

For iphone

1. Open the Contacts app, tap the contact to delete, then choose the "Edit" button in the corner
2. Scroll down and tap on the large red "Delete Contact" button, confirm the deletion when asked
3. Repeat as necessary for to remove other individual contacts

Hi, removing the contacts and cleaning may solve the problem but more than likely due to the age of the instrument you will need to replace the contact strip as the carbon wears over time. I believe on this model the contact strip is one continuous part rather than individual octaves as on later models. If cleaning does not solve the issue please report back and I will dig out a schematic to check the part number of a replacement.

Lithium batteries are very different from "normal" batteries. The other contacts are for the charger to check the cells individually. If one cell is discharged or charged more than the others it could cause it to fail early " or explode " in some cases. So these are very important and if something goes wrong with even one of the contacts the charger will usally say the battery is bad. Most lithium cells are 3.7v (LiPo, Li-Ion) but the new type is 3.3v per cell (LiFe). That should tell you how many cells it is.

There is no mass method for deleting contacts that are already registered on a phone.

Each contact will have to be individually deleted or edited to record details of your contact.

The process to edit or delete a contact individually is exactly the same as follows:

Open your phone Icon
Open contacts
Select an individual contact
Click Edit
Modify the details as required and touch Done
or
Scroll to the bottom of the contact list and Select Delete Contact

You will be prompted to Delete Contact or Cancel

Select Delete Contact

The contact will be removed.

Repeat the process for Editing or Deleting each contact on your list.

1) Reset the code again.
2) Retight the spring contacts very well with pliers for better contacts
3) Resolder the wires contacts batteries.
4) If necesary open the remote control and clean the keypads, with special spray, and resolder any cool solder.
5) Otherwise you must go to the repair shop TV, for fix it.

The best option is to contact HP they will direclty provide you with the steps..
First contact them and then rate me if I was correct or not...
I am sure they have the steps..

If you still have this problem, try this:

- Remove the battery...
- Locate the data port at the bottom of your unit, you can see the charger port and aside from it, 13 golden contacts. Star counting from the charging port side and locate pins 1 and 8...
- With some sharp pointed tweezers short those two pins and place the battery at the same time; this can be tricky, but believe, it will work on 90% of the cases. Try it 3-4 times (you have nothing to loose), just make sure the contacts are clean and that you are making good contact while making the short...

This is not a permanent solution, but it will give you the chance to make a backup of your stuff...

Take the battery out again and clean the contacts. Make sure that none of the contacts in the phone where it connects to the battery are stuck in. Ensure your battery is replaced correctly-I hate to admit Ive put mine in wrong in a hurry a couple of times!
