How to find the lost in hotmail or windows live

There may be some instances in which the email sent by the MSN or Windows Live Network could be re-directed to your spam folder. Check there if you can't find the message five to 10 minutes after requesting for a password reset. Open the email sent by MSN and click the appropriate link sent in the email to confirm the request for a password reset. This will open your default browser and take you to the Password Reset page that will allow users to create a new password for the account rather than retrieve the old password. I assume you have "Windows Live Messenger" already installed on you computer, and that you have an account already set up.

WLM uses the same information as your Hotmail account.  The user name for WLM is your Hotmail address; and the password for WLM is your Hotmail password.

If you've previously accessed WLM from that computer, then the user name (email address) and password are likely stored in the system.  You should be able to retrieve that information by using either of the following free software programs:

If you know the email address, but have forgotten the password for your WLM/Hotmail account, you can retrieve or reset it online:
