Hello, What type/grade oil do i use in my: .03
Hi!
You model of vespa uses about 1 1/4 pints of either 90 gear oil or SAE 30 motor oil. Please make sure you choose specific oil for motorcycles, because car motor oil will ruin your clutch discs (it has anti-friction properties that don't work well on wet clutch systems.
Hope this helps!

I have a vespa px
Hi there!
Older largeframe mounting brackets bolt directly to frame, and your PX is not prepared to justplug it in.
If you are willing to mess with your frame, I would choose another option for the spare tire... (or just live with a emergency anti-flat spray)
If you do want to use the classic mounting brackets (they will look better than any other option), try to measure on another Vespa where the holes are located. Sprint, GTR, etc use this kind of spare tire bracket.
Sorry if I didnt get you the answer you most wanted... (and please be kind when you rate me ;) )

Engine racing for no reason even when ignition
This is called 'self-combustion' and can be quite dangerous to your engine.
What is happening is that your spark-plug is too hot, and fuel is getting ignited even without spark.
This will eventually kill your top end, so the first thing I would do is to change the sparkplug heat range at least two numbers to the cold side.
Hope this helps!
1963 allstate 125 scooter will run like new than
Hi!
I assume your problem only applies when the engine is hot. This could be one of several things:
1 - bad seals
2 - broken engine body (heat expands it and lets air in / compression out)
3 - related to above, but happening on top end (cylinder/head)
All these are hard to fix at home, but there it could also be related to a carb problem... imagine your scooter is running too rich, it will run ok for the first kms, but after you stop and because the plug is dirty and/or the engine is flooded, it wont start anymore.
When this happened did you check the sparkplug look (is it dark? dry or oily?)
Hope this helps!

I have a LML Vespa
Simple, just tilt scooter on to the right hand side, for 5 secs and then try kick starting.
How to get the spark plug out and replace with a
Hi!
It is very easy, first you need to remove the engine cover, then you see where the sparkplug is:
Now remove the conector on top of the sparkplug and use tool from your kit (or any other tool for this kind of sparkplug) to remove the sparkplug. Rotate it counter-clockwise!
In order to fit the new sparkplug, simply insert it rotating clockwise with your hands. This is very important: use your hands until the sparkplug seems snug, then with the tool rotate one quarter of a turn. No more is needed.
People often use too much force fastening the sparkplug and that often leads to pulled threads from the cylinder head and a forced repair.
Hope this helps, I often carry a new sparkplug with me since 2T engines can be messy and foul plugs easily :)

1994 PX 200 always ran
Can you please explain your process to start the engine? Does it fire at first kick? Do you use the manual choke system? Does the engine seem to have good power? Do you close the fuel tap when you park your scooter?
Please give me some more information :)
Regards.

The rear shock on my et4 scooter is very tight and
Sounds like it has burst a seal and leaked all of its oil out, is there still oil ont he suspension leg? I had this last year on my Yamaha Fino, it's very dangerous to continue riding on it!
Loosen rear plastics on the suspension side. Fix the bike on its center stand to take the weight, the rear wheel will drop down.
Loosen the double nut at the top part of the shock. Once released, this makes it easier to get to the bottom bolts. Remove these, replace with a new shock.
Maybe go for a firmer spring/shock if you carry passengers. I've regularly got two on the bike so I went for a 230lb spring.
Hope this helps and vote for me please if it does.
