My jvc is stuck in "Cancel Demo" mode. It blinks on and off with this message, and not a single button respons. I have to reset the radio and hope for the best.. Sometimes it is good for months, and than have the issue for days again

Hi, im a retired ford auto elec inst. Tech so ill see if i can help you out. First, the orginal plugs, there are several radios and systems used. Was your oem radio am, am fm, or am fm tape? Next, if you had 2 plug that look similar but has 6 wires and the other has 8. Or does it have 4 wires. I should ask was your oem radio digital or analog? If was old school shaft type you will have a yellow, thats 12v + switched. Blue/red stripe is dial light, and a thick red wire which is ground. If its digital, look for the keyway on the plug. That is the top. First wire will be constant hot. Usually it a light green. Then the yellow, blu/ red, then another dail lightl ground then the power ant/ amp turn on wire. If you have a long plug and a small square one then you have fords premium sound. Which means there is a seperate amp. Lastly, if you have an 8 wire plug thats the speaker plug. If its 5 wire its a common ground system amd you will have to run new speaker wires or your new radio will have issues. Hope that helps

connect the red wire to acc fuse, the yellow wire to constant dc and the black wire to car chassis. probably you connect the black wire to the dimmer light

Under the faceplate, toward the lower right corner. See the illustration under "PREPARATIONS" on the first page of the manual.

You will need to take the stereo out and check the red wire. This red wire should be connect to a switched +12 volt not constant +12 volt. Good Luck.

Press and hold SEL until menu appears
Using the scan button (FWD/REV), select Clock H
Using the volume knob/button, set the value
Using the scan button (FWD/REV), select Clock M
Using the volume knob/button, set the value
Press SEL to save and exit

it does not have bluetooth, sorry.

from what i understand it is called "demo mode".
To turn it off follow these steps:
1. Hold the Sel button till the display shows "demo" Then turn the volume knob until the display reads "demo off"!

The problem will lie with one or combination of the radio, the antenna or antenna cable. Check the antenna. If it is the type that can be unscrewed from the body of the car, do so. Check and clean any mating surfaces. Dirt & oxidation are enemies of electrical connections. Check the antenna cable everywhere it is exposed. Look for cuts in the jacket which can allow water in and causes oxidation. Check the connection at the radio, too. Make sure it is free of dirt and oxidation too. Clean the connectors and reconnect. Be sure that the plug connections are fully seated in the jacks. If you find a damaged cable or connector, it should be replaced. many times, replacing the cable will be very difficult - you might want to try installing a new antenna and cable instead of trying to reuse the old antenna. These are often available for sale in the automotive sections of department stores, and in automobile specialty stores. Try connecting everything together to make sure it works before punching holes in the body of the car.

The issue may be the radio itself. Try connecting a different radio - either an identical factory radio that is known to be good - or an aftermarket radio to is also known to be good. All of these issues can be a logical point of failure - especially if you purchased the car used. There's no telling how the car's radio and antenna might have been used or abused before you took ownership of the car.

Auto Zone, or a local car audio store should sell a stereo installation kit that will have the surround for the new stereo to mount in and fit where the stock radio was. It will also have a wiring harness adapter to plug into the stock radio connector.

check down the radio. down the radio is the diagram chart.

for turn off this radio press power botton for 3 second. if you press only with one touch is for mute. turn on press one secon---turn off press 3 second---1 touch is mute.
