Polti Aluminum-Plated Steam Iron Accessory Questions & Answers
Polti Steam Generator heating up but no steam coming out?
Polti have many models. All question need 'make model (what it is)' as the first 3 words in every question. Otherwise it is a but of a guess.
If it is getting hot, then it should be producing steam. There can only be on reason and that is that something is blocked with limescale. Has it ever been descaled?

If it the type that has a hot flat iron and a hose to a steam generator tank, then it is possible that the element has failed. It is worth descaling that unit as well just in case there is a blockage down there. Add the descaling solution and turn it on for 5 minutes. Turn it off, leave 5 minutes and give it a shake every 5 minutes for 30 minutes. The descaling solution will only remove scale from places the solution touches.,

Polti steam cleaner water empty light staying on
If the water empty light is staying on when the water tank is full in your Polti Pro95 steam cleaner, it could be due to a malfunctioning float valve or a faulty water level sensor.
Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue:
- Check the float valve: The float valve is responsible for regulating the water level in the steam cleaner. If it is stuck or malfunctioning, it could be causing the water empty light to stay on. To check the float valve, remove the water tank from the steam cleaner and inspect the valve for any signs of damage or blockages. If the valve is damaged or blocked, replace it.
- Check the water level sensor: The water level sensor is located inside the steam cleaner and is responsible for detecting the water level in the tank. If it is malfunctioning or faulty, it could be causing the water empty light to stay on. To check the water level sensor, you will need to disassemble the steam cleaner and inspect the sensor for any signs of damage or wear. If the sensor is damaged or worn out, replace it.
- Check the wiring: If the float valve and water level sensor are functioning properly, the issue may be with the wiring. Check the wiring between the sensor, float valve, and control board for any signs of damage or wear. If you notice any issues, repair or replace the wiring as needed.
If you are not comfortable performing these troubleshooting steps, it is recommended to take your Polti Pro95 steam cleaner to a certified repair technician for further diagnosis and repair.
Polti Lecoaspira Sutton not working
It sounds like there may be an issue with the motor of your Polti Vaporetto Lecaspira steam cleaner. The fact that the trigger no longer initiates the motor and that it was making a horrible noise before it failed suggests that there may be a problem with the motor or the brushes that are located inside of the motor.
One thing you can check is the brushes inside the motor. Over time, the brushes on a motor can wear down and no longer make contact with the armature, preventing the motor from running. You can check the condition of the brushes by removing the brush holder and inspecting the brushes. If the brushes appear to be worn down, they will need to be replaced.
Another thing to check is the motor's carbon brushes, which are responsible for creating an electrical connection between the rotor and the stator. If the carbon brushes are worn out, the motor will not run.
It's worth noting that some Polti machines have a thermal fuse, that could have been tripped and that could prevent the motor from running.
If you are not familiar with the process of checking and replacing the brushes or if you find that the problem is more complex, I would recommend contacting a qualified technician or the manufacturer for further assistance. They will be able to diagnose and repair the issue with your steam cleaner, and they can also give you an estimate of the cost of repair.
It's worth noting that Polti machines are known for their durability, but like any machine, they need proper maintenance and repairs.
The pressure cap will not unscrew on my Polti Vaporetto 1500
It is possible that the pressure cap is stuck due to corrosion or debris. Here are a few steps you can try to loosen the pressure cap:
Soak the pressure cap in a mixture of water and vinegar for a few hours to loosen any dirt or debris that may be stuck to the cap.
Use a penetrating oil, such as WD-40, to help loosen the pressure cap. Spray the oil onto the cap and let it sit for a few hours before attempting to unscrew it.
Try using a pair of pliers or a rubber grip wrench to gently twist and loosen the pressure cap. Be careful not to apply too much pressure, as you don't want to damage the cap or the valve.
