I've only had my palm since the end of Nov and now it won't power up. The red light shows when it's hooked up to the AC adapter, but when removed, there is no light, there is nothing. Whats the warranty on this?
My daughter's phone had the same issue of the red charging light remaining on constantly and the phone not booting up....
I something similar happen to a PSP console too.
If you have a Sandisk or other type of expandable data card in the phone... remove it.
Remove the battery for about a minute and put the batter back in...
The data card is probably corrupt and needs to be reformatted.
I did this and the phone booted with no problems.
Just like my PSP.
Hope this Helps....

whwn doing a hard reset on a palm centro is there a specified amount of time i have to hold down the power button after i replace the batterie or is the screen supposed to pop up the moment the batterie is in
When performing a hard reset on the Palm Centro, you hold down the power button as you insert the battery, and then release the power button when you see the second Palm logo.

How do I unlock my Palm Centro
If you forget the password, the only way to get back in is to perform a "hard reset." Performing a hard reset causes you to loose all data on your phone unfortunately (numbers, texts, and all). Hopefully you've sync-ed up your data on your computer recently.
To perform a hard reset, do the following:
1 - Remove the battery cover.
2 - Take out the battery.
3 - Put the battery back in. An orange Palm logo will appear on your screen.
4 - While the logo is showing, press & hold the Power/End button until a black status bar appears on the screen, fills completely, and then goes away. Then you can stop pressing the button.
5 - Next on your screen will be a prompt to erase all data. Press up to say Yes.
6 - Next select your language and you have an empty phone to start a new. If you've previously sync-ed up your data, you can sync up now and add it all back.
Good luck!

Everything works on my centro except the backlight. Keypad light works fine. Tried all setting adjustments, soft restart and hard reset with no luck.
Sometimes we can resolve the issue by pressing the Options key and the Menu key simultaneously. The Centro Keyboard backlight would Turn ON.

I don't know what happened, but one day, the keyboard light on my palm centro just stopped working. and i can see to text in the dark. and that gets really annoying. know any ways i might be able to fix this?
Have you tried the option key + menu key? It turns dims the screen and toggles the keyboard backlight on and off.

my palm centro does not turn on and the red light stays on
Hello halvarez,
Have you tried a soft reset by removing the battery and leaving it out for a couple minutes then reinserting it ? The Centro should run as normal after removing the battery and reinserting it. All your information is retained when you perform a soft reset.

Is there a way to copy all my contacts from my phone - Palm Centro - to the SIM card. I would like to copy/export globally, not one-by-one.
When I migrated from my Palm Centro (best smartphone ever) to my current BlackBerry, I did the following:
1) Export Palm contacts from the Palm Desktop software to CSV (comma separated values or tab-delimited text) format.
2) Import the CSV file to your Google Contacts account.
3) Wirelessly sync Google Contacts to your new phone using the free Google Sync app (link below).
4) Verify data was transferred appropriately.
Google Sync details:

You should be able to follow the same process for your Palm Calendar by exporting your Palm Calendar from the Palm Desktop software to a file (save the exported file to your desktop, or an easy to find location on your computer), then import the Calendar file into a NEW Google Calendar, not your primary calendar (in case there's conflicts or problems, you can delete the secondary Google calendar without losing your primary Google calendar items). Google Sync should allow you to choose more than one Google Calendar to sync with your new phone.

my palm centro will not turn on the red light just blinks and occationally it does come on
Hello abevagota25,
A flashing red indicator light (upper left-hand corner) occurs when the Centro is connecting to the the cell phone network. The light will continue to blink until it gets a strong enough signal to make a good connection. Try turning the phone on from different locations to see which one makes a good connection
