If you mean you want to hard reset your device, i.e. remove all the programs installed by the user, as well as all personal data stored there, first of all, make sure its battery is at least 50% charged. Then, press and hold both the 'Windows' and the 'OK' buttons (in your device's fascia), and at the same time, briefly press the reset pin (at the right side of your device) with the stylus pen.

If you meant that an IC has been identified to be faulty it is not easy to have this job done by DIY. So it is best to confirm the case and take estimate before it is feasible.

Only active sync is the solution. conect to your computer and sync......if it works forward to others also.

First of all switched offf this cell u can remove its battery & put it again then wait for a 10second then do this magic
PRESS !<< & >>! & same time Press Power switch {left button in centre jog dial + right button in centre jog dial + Power Switch} & wait for a munit u ill see on screen formating at this time press Green Button thats is call button & this ill hard reset your O2 xda stealth

I just got an O2 Xda stealth from my friends but it has problem with unlocking the key pad.

I can not enter the menu since keypad being lock.

Thanks for getting back to me in regards to this matter. I have however solved the problem although all the data was lost.

To solve the problem I read somewhere that you have to turn the phone off, then press the flag button, the OK button, the camera button all at once, then while doing that, you also hold down the on/off button for few seconds. The phone re-boots as new. It was my wife's phone and she is not in the habit of backing up her data; this has taught her a good lesson :)

Actually, It depends on the software you downloaded: if it is an .exe file, you should run it on your PC while your Smartphone is connected with USB cable, and when you follow the installation steps ActiveSync will handle the rest of it for installing it on the Smartphone. Then, you can run the new software from your device's program menu. If it is a .cab file, you should copy that .cab file to your Smartphone (Any directory on your Smartphone) and you should run that .cab file through your Smartphone, which will start the installation and again when it completes, you can run your software through the Start Menu. This MIGHT work and is at least worth a try.

Find a toothpick and push in the RESET button for 5+ seconds. This should reset the unit and allow it to power on.
