Hp c6100 will not power up? Plugged in and

Hello,

if it does not power up, then it means its having a power problem. it might have worked fine in the past, but that's electronics for you. Power surge, irregular power supply, excess power supply, etc can affect the unit thereby not making it to power on.

This unit must have a power supply board in it where power enters from the mains. A capacitor, fuse, diode, etc may have been defective on the power board and maybe that's why its not making the unit turn on. There might also be some disconnection or something, inside the unit which is not making it to power on.

I believe its uses an adapter, maybe the adapter is defective.

To actually find out what's wrong, you need to disassemble the unit with a screw driver and check what's wrong. You will be needing a meter in order to test the components on the power board, once you detect any bad component, you can make necessary replacement at any electronics accessories store withing our vicinity. This is the only way by which you can detect the problem.

Of course, testing the power board with a meter will require someone that has the ability. So it you can't, then you might be needing the help of a repairman or you can call a friend that has the ability to help you out.

I wish you the best of luck.

Hope this helps.

Solution:
Step one: Reset the printer

Unplug the power cord and universal serial bus (USB) cable from the back of the printer.
Wait 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into the printer.
Press the On button to turn the printer on.
If Ink system failure does not display, the issue is resolved; reconnect the USB cable and resume using the printer.
If the previous steps have not cleared the message, continue to the next step.

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softw...

Click Software & driver downloads.

Click on the appropriate operating system link.

Click on the Recommended update to fix long power-on cycle and ink system failures link and follow the instructions to download the file.

After downloading is complete, disconnect all other USB devices from the PC. Make sure the product is powered ON and plugged into the USB port.

With the printer directly connected to the PC, click the downloaded file FirmwareEnable_Release.EXE.

Click Open/Run.

Click OK at the Update successful window. The error should have been cleared from the printer display.

Perform this reset or go for a new all-in-one

A semi-full reset will do the following:
The user settings to the factory defaults, Language and country settings on some models, Fax logs, Fax headers, Fax speed dial information.

Reset the All-in-One to the factory default settings by following these instructions:

1. Unplug the power cable from printer when the printer is powered on.

2. Press and hold # and 6 while plugging in the power cord.

If this does not solve your printer issues then check out the articles we have posted on our web page at: http://www.ccl-la.com/blog/index.php/category/printer-repair/hp-printer-repair/ Usually the "ink system failure" is caused by air in the k feed tubes. This can be caused by allowing all of the ink to run out in a cartridge so it sucks up air or using poorly filled ink cartridges that have air bubbles. Our web site articles have step by step guides that show you how to do the ink line purge. It should take you about 10 minutes to do.

I hope this helps if so please rate our solution.

good luck

Lost CD install HP Photosmart

That's no problem, you can download the software for free at any time. Just head to the link I will provide at the end of my answer, and select your operating system from the list on that page. Hit NEXT then it will drop the software down below where you just selected your operating system. Go to the DRIVER section, click the plus sign and you want the first one on that list. Then click the DOWNLOAD button and download the file. Open it and go through the install and you will be good to go.

Please make sure you rate my answer 4 thumbs up, it is extremely important to me. I would be forever grateful if you could do so. If you need more help on this question please just respond to my answer here and I will get right back to you.

My printer squeaks/squeals when its printing. Any

Hi,

Sometimes squeaking can be caused by the toner cartridge. Try reinstalling the cartridge or installing another. This cartridge's yield is 2500 pages. When is very used, it could make rare sounds. Always use genuine HP cartridge.

The arm of the pick-up roller is loose... is normal.

If the pick-up roller have a very smooth surface, replace it. Please post your feedback and Vote if the problem resolved as per your satisfaction.
