Something is shorting out the power supply. Most likely the elevator control board, probably a paper clip or staple shorting out the board.

likely your resolution settings are very high, anything scanned at over 100dpi will take considerably longer. if it were a hardware issue then the scanned document would not be readable as the speed of the rollers must be sync'd with the scanning speed for a successful scan

Your scanner needs to be looked at by a technician, parts may need to be replaced or it may simply need a service. If it is under warranty take it back to the seller. This needs to be done professionally and properly!

It can be a nightmare to find out what is causing the dog ear page or folded page at the corner. Check your glass **** inside the scanner to make sure its seated in the scanner properly. The big one is the check the metal paper guides in the scanner paper path. If a guide is bend it will hook the paper and cause it to fold over.

There are a few things that could be causing this issue. First, make sure that the audio volume on the projector is turned up all the way. If it is and there is still no sound, then the next thing to check is whether the audio strips on your film are damaged or corrupted in some way. If they appear to be fine, then the issue may be with the projector's sound system itself. In this case, you may need to take the projector to a qualified repair person for further diagnosis and possible repairs.

Perhaps you try Bell & Howell to provide an update of the firmware for your scanner. But to provide an upgrade, there must be an upgrade. The only way to find out, is to goto their website and ask there.
