you will have set your computer to failsafe defaults or optimised defaults first to get your resolutions to there defaults first
During the boot process you will see on the screen to press a certain key to enter setup
Press and hold that key during the boot up process to enter BIOS you can load failsafe defaults or load optimized defaults ,press escape then press f10 to save to cmos to restart
Click start control panel administrive tools computer management device manager scroll to display adapters + to expand you might see a yellow question mark ? or exclamation mark ! red x right click select reinstall drivers if your computer came with a motherboard disc the drivers could be on it or you could download cnetdownload.com on the home page you should see the download software finder under that there will be a list platform, category sub category price from the category drop down list select drivers then from the price drop down list select free or which ever applies to your need http://download.cnet.com/%7Bvalue=http://www.download.com/ati-catalyst-display-driver/3000-2108_4-10608736.html This release for all Radeon family products updates the AMD display driver to the latest version. This unified driver has been further enhanced to provide the highest level of power, performance, and reliability.
hope this helps

When I inserted the new
Hi there,
Check the BIOS settings and see if there's a way to disable the onboard graphics card, from shutdown start tapping F2 (for most computers the Del key for some).
Once in the BIOS look for the devices or onboard devices and check if the graphics card control is there.
Usually, the onboard card automatically disables once it detects a GPU into the AGP or PCI-E port, please make sure that you have the card plugged in tightly to the slot and check if there's a small cable additional for giving power to the Graphics card.
If you can also try to remove and reinsert the Graphics card from the slot.
Hope this helps!

WHAT VIDEO CARDS ARE BEST IN VIDEO EDITING AND
Unless you are using the absolute latest versions of the program - in that case, since they can use hardware acceleration, the best cards are indeed the most powerfull ones - you should have no problem using practically every video card from the mainstream line of both ATI and NVIDIA. For better driver performance get a RADEON HD5770 with 1GB of DDR5 memory.

IS THE SAPHIRE 5570 2-GIG
Your board has a PCIe X16 slot so the card will fit. It requires a 400w power supply so, as long as you have enough power you're good. It also has support of Win XP, Vista, and Windows 7.

470 or Higher would be the minimum. I would look for a 500 if I could find one.

Can the SAPPHIRE 100293-2GL Radeon HD 5570 be used
As long as your motherboard supports this card. There should be no problem using this card as the primary video card. You might have to change a setting in the BIOS to make this video card to primary.

HD6870 DVI
Use the manufacturer's utility to check the temps. I would first swap out the DVI cable to make sure that isn't the issue. Then try a different monitor/TV to eliminate those as the problems. If you have onboard VGA you could also switch to onboard VGA to make sure the cable is good as well as the monitor.
