Neither...it is threaded onto the motor shaft. Lock the shaft at the end opposite the impeller and turn it off counter clockwise.

Is the fitting insert missing or do you still have the insert but the tabs are broken off? Either way, you can get the replacement and thread it into the wall port. You may have to remove whatever is left of the damaged insert first. The part is called the Universal Wall Fitting, part number 650000. They are about $5 at a local pool store.

I would ask the manufacturer not online odd jobbers.

What is the make and model of the pump MOTOR and is it 120 or 240 volts?

Check for clogs at sweep inlet and check suction presser at skimmer or wall inlet. Make sure all your baskets are cleaned out. Mike.

I'm not sure which pump fails after 15 minutes. Is it the main pump or the booster pump? The main pump works fine but when the booster pump is activated, one of them fails. What happens if you leave the main pump on and only activate the booster pump? Will the booster pump run indefinitely as well? They both share the same supply line. What have you checked so far? How old are both pumps?Do you pumps sound normal? Do the pump motors get abnormally hot? Any recent repairs or new symptoms? Is there a shut off valve on the supply line that has been turned/moved? Please write back with more information.
