Sony SLV-D550P DVD Player/VCR "adjust vhs tape plays" Questions

When I play a vhs tape, the screen is snowy. My vhs tapes were playing just fine. Now, all I get is a snowy screen when I try and play them. adjust the tracking + or- and fix it.God bless you
