What does "please run auto channel scan " mean? Auto channel scan finds the local channels available over the air so that when pressing up/down channel it only goes to those channels

channel summary menu, unchecked the X for lock on it, run auto again does the same thing, go back and it has the lock on 116 again. Seems to not complete the auto scan since it show that channel lock.
