What kind of oil should i use in my 2003 vrod?

Do you see blue smoke from the exhaust? If you don't then your not burning oil your loosing it. In your oil bag there is a vent hole, are you filling oil too full?

No, but if you let oil get too low it will destroy the plain bearings very quickly

The V-Rod is equipped with a high performance engine. As such, I would suggest 92-93 octane fuel.

Once you locate the filter. It should be rather straight forward to change it. When you buy the filter, don't be afraid to ask the people where it is, and what tool you need to change it.
