You need two nuts that match the thread on the stud.. you thread the stud in far as you can by hand then the two nuts thread them both on to the stud till just just enough to be securely on the stud. then then oppose thread them so the two nuts lock against each other turn the top nut clock wise to tight stud and tun the bottom nut anti clock wise to undo the stud to remove the two nuts turn them simultaniously in opposite direction to loosen then just undo them off don't feel the need to over tighten the exhaust stud it only needs be nipped in there it will naturally get more torque when you mount the header back on any way - hope this is help to you regards Jamie

How do i hook up a battery for dyna wide glide 2010

Wow, my 2000 wide glide only had two, so I'm afraid you should not trust anyone but the dealer. Just give them a call and maybe they will answer your question. If they tell you to bring it in call a different dealer.

Why is there no throttle response and the engine light is on on my 2010 HD FLHTCU 96 ci ?

You've got to twist the grip HAHA ! Seriously, you can do a test by yourself, press the trip button on the speedo, with the ignition off. One second later (keeping the button pressed) turn the ignition on and you-ll see a self test on the speedo. After the needle pegs and all leds come on, you'll see in the counter area a type of code. Using the trip button again you can read the ecm and tsm modules errors. Just press and hold the trip button as you go along. In one of the fields an error should come on like "P1005" or similar. You can look it up on the net. There is also a TSB out on the throttle TT-418 there were issues with the terminal connections at the throttle body.

Where is the oil plug drain located on a 2010 harley wide glide ?

The oil drain plug for your Wide Glide is located on the bottom of the transmission as the oil tank is in this location. The oil drain plug is usually located at the right front of the oil pan.

Good Luck

Broken exhaust bolt front not the one closest to frame how to fix

you will have to remove the exhaust from the head
if there is any of the stud left protruding from the head there is a tool that you can buy from your automotive spare parts dealer to remove the remaining stud
If no part of the stud is protruding you will have to drill a hole in the centre of the stud and use an easy-out to remove it, use some penetrating oil first to loosen any corrosion etc

2010 harley dyna wide glide. when I press the

Is the clutch cable adjusted correctly, you may need to adjust the cable so that the clutch is released more fully, there will be an adjuster on either end of the clutch cable - adjust it so that the cable is tighter - but there should be a little bit of play left in the clutch - if this does not cure the problem you could have some gearbox damage,
The bike is still under warranty so take it to a harley dealers and have them look at it.

97 fxdl, difference between narrow/wide glide componants

You need the complete front end including the wheel. The FXDWG is somewhat of an oddball in that a lot of parts fit only that bike. A lot of other parts will not fit a Wide Glide. This even applies to the exhaust system.

Measure the diameter of your upper fork tubes, they're 39 mm tubes. The Wide Glide uses 41 mm tubes. The Wide Glide also uses a 21" front wheel.
