Check your instructions with the fog lamps, I believe you will need to take your car to a dealer to have them activate the fog lamp driver in the Totally Integrated Power Module.

I wired my fog lights for the power into the fuse box, but they stay on all the time when I turn on the car. I have them wired into my low beams, but I only want them to come on when I turn on my low...

OK, you need to connect a relay to one of the 'power' wires under the hood that leads to the bulb of the low beams. Then, the fog lights will go on only when they are turned on or off.

Otherwise, you could have a relay that is controlled by a switch that independently operates the relay and thus the fog lights.

Both methods are legal in, Pennsylvania, anyway.

Sometimes hooking up the relay to the fuse box will only turn the fog lights on if the ignition switch is turned on for switched fuse box contacts. And, sometimes, hooking the relay to the fuse box will keep the fog lights on all of the time, as the fuse box may be energized at all times at certain contacts.

Good luck on installing your fog lights, correctly.

How do i find the wire that is blowing the fuse that goes to the dash, park, fog lights. I have taken the dash apart and can't find the problem. What is the problem

If you do have fog lights, thats where to start. Any outside wiring. follow the wiring back from the fog lights checking at any clamps or tight turns. If they are 2 wire harness to each side you need to check those harness at each clamp. If you do not have fog lights, check under the hod at the fuse/ relay box. You are looking for a cut in the main harness. Have you had any belt problems? Alternator belt fraying? Belts can fray and parts will whip the wiring harness very hard. Check these places for your short.

99 dakota fog lamps wont work although headlamps still work.

Check the relay to the fog light, it's the fuse and relay box under the hood behind the battery. Take the relay out labeled fog light and switch it with an other relay for now just to see if it is the relay, it the fog light's work then it's the relay. If they don't work then it's the switch, good luck and hope this helps. Keep me posted, be glad to help.

Fog light not working

The 15 amp FOG fuse is in the fuse box in the engine compartment, at the bottom, right between the fog light relay and the fan #1 relay. The fuse is by itself, there are no other fuses next to it. Hope this helps, and thanks for choosing FixYa.
