I HAVE SIS THAT DRIVES WITH 2 FEET.
ONE ON BRAKE AND ON THE GAS.
AND CRUISE WILL EVER WORK LIKE THAT. EVER.

OOPS./
I SEE THEM ALL THE TIME ON MAIN HIGHWAY , 75MPH , ALL ALONE AND BRAKE LAMPS GLOWING.

L66 engine, cruise runs the engine by operating the TBW motor in the TB, called by GM AS TAC
SO CRUISE IS JUST SOFTWARE AND SOME SIMPLE CONTROLS
'PER THE VUE L66 SCHEMAtic cruise.

the big things is bad switches, for sure
the brake switch B pin purple wire dead
and 4 clock springs not bad after 19 years spinning the steering wheel like mad
does the cruise lamp glow turned on???? no told.
and is step #1 to actvate the cruise ECM section.
if cruise button is dead so must the other to set and resume.
there are 2 switches one is black cruise brake
and 2nd is gray stop lamp switch.
2nd is light blue wire color out.

I guess black switch is hand brake.???
5 inputs good
no DTC errors ALLOWED for TBW THROTTLE BY WIRE 'TAC"

ALL I NEED IS THIS AND A METER,

Hello could someone help me out with a 350 7.5 liter RV 1985 Econoline wiring schematics diagram it no running lights are rear brakes .

The running lights and brake lights circuits were both designed and installed by Ford. The E-350 chassis was used for a variety of vehicles, from cargo vans to RV and light utility trucks. The rear lighting will be the same schematic for these vehicles.

Schematics for these vehicles can be found in most public libraries, in technical or "shop"/repair manuals for almost every vehicle ever made. If your are not familiar with these manuals, ask a librarian for assistance in find the correct publication for a 1985 FORD E-350.

The RV manufacturer probably spliced into the Ford wiring for the rear lights on you vehicle. The fuses for both circuits should be under the hood.

If your brakes lights don't work, your cruise control should also stop functioning. The cruise control gets it's ground by being wired into the positive side of the brake lights. The ground is actually supplied across the filament of the brake light bulb. When power is supplied to the brake lights the cruise control loose it,s ground and stops working..

Get a manual from the library, and you should fix two problems at the same time.

GOOD HUNTING!

You might want to try having your transducer analyzed at the dealership. They are the only ones with the proper testing equipment. Thank you, Dana

Cruise control schematic diagram

I have a 1998 GMC Safari van in which the cruise control has quit. It didn't go all at once. It would work intermittently. Sometimes going 5 miles or so and then shutting off and then after another few miles, it would set again. This sounds to me like something getting hot. Is there a circuit breaker for the cruise control...or?
I can't seem to find a good schematic/diagram for the unit. Driving me nuts! I don't want to have to buy a whole new module if there is a simple fix.

Anyone?

Location of the cruise control fuse in a 1995 jeep cherokee

Check this out also...the schematic is too small to see which fuse it is in the engine compartment Power Distribution Center (the fuse box). Is your cruise control not working?

Cruise Control The Cruise Command system is electrically actuated and vacuum operated. The turn signal lever on the steering column incorporates a slide switch which has three positions OFF, ON or RESUME. A SET button is located in the end of the lever. This device is designed to operate at speeds above approximately 35 mph (56 km/h).
The speed control module automatically controls throttle position to maintain a speed set by the operator. The vehicle will keep the set speed unless the driver presses the brake, clutch or accelerator pedal.
