I have a 1978 yamaha xs 750 special and it looks as though the rear shocks are adjustable and I was wondering if this is true and also how to do it. I am new to riding and my legs are short lowering it 2...

must XS bike were adjustable At the shck spring you will see graduated risers in the body of the shock> lift up on the spring, turn to the position you want,

I dont think you will get the 2" ur looking for though

Hi can you please tell me how old my yzf 250 is as when i bought it they told me it was 2004 but now i am thinking of selling it people tell me it is older? chassis number is cg10c00184l. thanks paul...

That does not seem to be enough numbers to be a VIN, nor does it look like a Yamaha VIN to me - at least not a post-1980's number.

The VIN can be found stamped into the steering head. Take a look at this site: http://www.motoverse.com/tools/vin/yamaha.asp

I hope this helped.

Im trying to find out what yamaha i have i know its a 250 registared 1977 looks like a scrambler i wish to sell it and am not sure wat its worth its not an rd350 i had to put that in model description

If it has lights, etc. it is most likely a DT250. If not it is likely an IT250
Google 1977 DT250 and look in the images to see if it matches your bike.
