the packs may need to be balanced..most good chargers have an option to balance your packs out..one cell may be stronger so it is running off that cell then acting dead

It sounds like the battery is defective, that causes it to lose it charge very quickly.

Yes, according to specifications you can, but check the temperature on the motor and ESC. If it hurts to touch it's too hot --> gear down.

it is your motor titan 12 t it is burnt out I had the same problem just replace the motor and your golden

When turning on, press and hold the button on the ESC until it flashes 1, 2, 3 times then let go of the button. You are now in novice mode.

I have a Rustler vxl and the same thing happened to me. Have you tried re-programming the controller to the car. look in your manual and you should see that the throttle must be programed for full extension for the brake and full compression for the "give it the gas". it has to do with the speed controller on how to get it set right.
