The wiper motor runs, but the wipers wont work.

Can you move the wipers by pulling on them? If you can and they easily move, the wiper linkage is disconnected. If you can hear the motor run and the wipers are inoperable, suspect a seized wiper pivot

The windshield wipers to my Ford focus stopped working today. They worked for a little while & then stopped in the up position. You can hear the motor working but they don't move. You can move them...

Your wiper linkage has come off the wiper motor. To reconnect the linkage, first remove the wiped arms, the remove the wiped cowl. The wiper cowl bolts are located under the hood and screws through the spaces in the cowl. Reconnect linkage, reinstall cowl, reinstall wiped arms.

Pontiac g6 2006 wipers stopped movement while driving. what could this be from? I already checked fuses. i hear the motor running making noise.

either linkage broke/ jammed or motor is stuck -makin noise but not movin open hood and with wiper on feel motor- its on firewall-for movement if moving turn off motor now try to move wipers if move freely than they are broken off or have disconnected from the motor need to remove the cowl to access the wipers linkages

1998 Ford Expedition Rear Wiper Motor not working.

I would try replacing the wiper arm itself and also make sure that there is no binds in the motor or rubbing anything inside the door

Volvo V70 (53 reg) rear wiper has stopped working. Can hear motor trying to turn it but wiper blade doesn't move? Is this something simple I can fix myself?

no you would have to pull the motor to make sure its working but it sounds like what you may be hearing is like a humming sound where its trying to work but not.
