This may seem like a silly issue, but I can not figure out how to stop it from happening. We had MS Word loaded on our system by a local company. When I start typing any word that starts with Dent (I work for a dentist), it pulls up the local companies name... How do I get that from happening all the time?? We no longer use them so I think that's why it is somewhat annoying too to me.
Again, I know this isn't earthshattering, but if anyone should have a solution , I would greatly appreciate it!!
Use find or search and find the word "dent' in a file. Once you do (and it will probably appear in many files) you need to either delete it or replace it with dentist (presumably). You have (or someone has) created something which is effectively an instruction to put your companies name whenever dent is typed. This ability (and I am not up to date with Word / I use an old version) is probably also in the help dialogue somewhere...try a search using a few keywords relative to your problem....or go to help and wind your way through all the dialogue....the latter is not a bad idea by the way. I often find answers to what I consider dumb dumb problems (always in retrospect) that I have incurred (once and once only). Good luck.

There should be an option for "auto complete" somewhere. I don't recall exactly where the setting was, but I agree, it's annoying.
I believe it was under "options" if memory serves me right.
