Check for spark (pull a spark plug and arc it to a grounded surface) and check for fuel to the engine (can be done through the spark plug hole opened by removing the spark plug)
What the VOS does is controls spark advance, it will NOT cause the spark plug to not fire.
You said no spark.
I assume at spark plug?
Did you check for fire at coil?
When you replaced coil, did you wire it correctly?
Did you use the right coil? Different Harleys require different Ohm coils.
If all above is good, follow wiring back to find why no fire.
Check the fuses. if they are good - look just above the oil filter for a round plastic cover and pop it off - the ignition module in there has a small red led that flashes when you crank the motor if it doesn't flash and the fuse is good - then it is bad.
hey, mad legend, have u checked for spark and gas yet? If not, that's the 1st thing to do. To check for spark, u can use a spark plug u took out recently when u changed the plugs. Disconnect a plug wire at plug, plug into used plug, place where u can see tip of plug easily, have someone crank engine over, u should see a good spark at plug tip. To check to see if it's getting fuel, attempt to start several times, pull a plug and check it, tip should show signs of fuel. If it's dry, no sign of fuel, u may have a fuel pump issue.
yes i think it might be the cdi box
