Everything worked, then starter got slower and slower. finally just stopped. thought is was battery so bought a new one. then saw that the stereo and dash lights stopped working. so I got the stereo and light in the center lights for the fan and rear defroster to come on. but gauge lights still wont work. key wont turn engine over but when I go from battery to solenoid engine cranks but wont start. You need to clean all the batt. and starter solenoid connections.
make sure they are tight
make sure to clean batt neg wire at body connection
check your fuse link to starter from battery,
a 6 inch section of thinner wire designed to burn out to protect starter. this is why you can jump starter you bypass the blown fuse link.

2003 stratus has a new starter ,charged battery but will not crank

Check the fuse, relay? When you turn the Key on, do you see a security light and it goes out. Dodges will kill the starter after 3 unsuccessful security fails. If all that is good, you will need to start checking wires and the ignition switch. You'll need a volt/ohm meter.

I have 2005 I changed the starter and battery good but it still won't start

First does it crank, if it does then check to see if the fuel injectors are getting fuel.....could be a fuel pump...

second....if there is nothing when you turn the key and the battery is good and the starter was replaced...it could be a bad ground.....thats the ground coming off your battery and goes to your chassis of the car.........let me know how you make out.

2001 dodge stratus no crank no start from ignition

When you use the ignition key you activate both the starter and ignition circuits. When you jump the starter motor all you do is crank the engine - you have not energized the ignition so car will not start.

My car wont start, no turn over, all of the electronics work fine. I hear the fuel pump working. What could it be? I parked went in a store, came out and it just wouldn't start.

Possible defective starter motor. Try tapping on starter motor with a blunt object ( if accessible ) while holding the key in the crank position. If the engine starts, the starter motor is bad. If it doesn't, you will have to check for start power at the starter directly. Possible starter motor/starter relay/ wiring/ignition switch etc

My 1995 chrysler new yorker wont start. i turn key and get nothing. battery is charged and starter does not crank.

If the dash lights up, but no crank, it could be the anti-theft system, or the neutral safety switch, among other things.
Have you tried cranking it in neutral ? Do you have power at the starter post ?
Does everything else work when you turn the key on ?

2001 dodge stratus turned off while driving, oil was empty and it wont start

If you are saying it will not crank, the engine could be locked up.
A mechanic would try turning the crank by using the alternator pulley.

2001 dodge stratus want crank

It could be But my guess is it is the safety netural switch could even be a starter you can test it but you need jumper wires with aligator clips, you can try turning on the lights and turn the key switch over and if the lights dim slightly then it means it is making contact and pulling volatage but not starting, if the lights don't dim slightly then it could be the safety netural switch. If you can work with jumper wires and a couple safety stands I can help you test it.

2001 Dodge Stratus wont start

first you want to make sure your engine is not seized, do this byy taking a wrench and turning the engine manually with the crank shaft, thats the one all the ay on the bottom, if it does not move your engine seized.

if it is not seized, check all of your battery cables to make sure they are not corroded or greasy, as an extra measure you may want to clean the neg cable at the block to make sure it is getting connection.
