George, This is weird you say small block but suffix code TPJ comes back 454 cu.in. 230 HP Chev big block.

COULD BE WRONG STARTER CHEVY HAS MANY SIZE V8 ENGINES FOR TRUCKS ENGINES ARE 4.8 - 5.3 - 5.7 - 6.0 - 6.6 AND 8.1 POSSIBLE YOU HAVE WRONG STARTER.

I'ts a chevy V8 350 engine. lol

U have three choices, one is a 3.8L V6, next a 5.0L V8 (most common), and last a 5.7L V8. the 3.8 is made by buick, the V8's are chevy small blocks.
