SOURCE: kawasaki 300 bayou won't rev up.

No guarantees but try this. Pull the slide from the throat of the carb. Now move the clip on the jet needle down one notch. This will richen the low end mix. Two notches may be needed but do one notch at the start.

SOURCE: My 1995 Kawasaki bayou 300 will not start it has a spark gas to the Carb and a new battery it cranks and cranks but will not start. How do I get it to start someone please help I wanna go riding..

Hi Abbott:
You've gotta be close. Let's double check.
- Pull the plug(s) and make sure they're not fouled and that there is a nice hor blue spark across the electrode.
- Fresh gas in the tank
- flush the carb (drain plug)
- Fuel filter if there is one.
- Clean the air filter.
Put it back together and give it a try. If it runs, great, if not, pull a spark plug and see if it is "wet" with gas. If not, the problem will probably be with gummy bad stuff in the carb. Take it off, and an air hose to try to blow out all the little passages.
Keep smiling, you'll be killing bugs in no time!

I have a 88' Kawasaki Bayou 300. It will start

buy a bottle of gasline anti-freeze. it will absorb any water in your fuel. add a half a bottle now and a half next time you fill the tank. should improve the operation of the engine

My 420 with an onan runs great at half throttle, then bogs down.

Are you sure you did not get the jets in the wrong places when you cleaned that carburetor.
