My Grizzly 07 / 700 will not charge, when I put my battery on the charger it charges for a short time then the gharger goes into default. I had the battery test at 3 different locations and they say it is good. When I put a volt meter on the battery while the machine is runnig it reads only 11.75 volts. When I put the volt meter on the battery out side of the machine after a short charge it reads 12.5 / 13 volts. What are the possibilities of the problem . I checked all the fuses, all the connection.

Your Charging Stator seems to be the culprit. The Battery when it is STATIC should be 12.4-12.8 Volts. When running, there is a Draw from any electrical component. The Stator works as the Alternator/Generator on your vehicle and should boost the Voltage Output up to 13.4-14.2. Seeing that it drops, it is telling me that you have either lost Ground or the Stator is defective and needs to be tested for Continuity and OHM's. This will give you something to troubleshoot and rectify your problem.

yes the battery is probably five years old and not capable of holding a charge. if you go to a Murray's or autozone they will test the battery for free.

SOURCE: We are a repair shop

Hello, this seems to be a common problem on the F250-F450 super duty diesels...adding more electrical options, winches, light bars, radios, etc. makes it worse. They will eat alternators. What happens is the diodes and the regulators fail. Alternators are also rated like a starter, on a continuous duty cycle basis. This spec is rarely (if ever) published for automotive grade alternators.
Example: The starter for the 6.0 is rated for 3kv.
That is, 3,000 watt ---- a lot of energy.
But it is only rated for operation maybe 2 or 3 minutes at a time an hour --- then it needs to "rest" to cool, etc.
Operate the starter for much more (e.g. continuously) and it will burn out with as short as 1 to 2 hours of continuous operation.
It is an incredibly low duty cycle device --- only intended to be used a few times a day max, and then, only for a brief minute or less....
On these Fords, what i have done to is gone to a bigger better extreme service alternator, and modified the wires to remedy this problem. A 190amp alternator has been in service on a 05 F350 wrecker now for over two years, with no problems...before that, every 60-90 days (with a 110amp)
I also add on a fused cable as well..Check the exsting factory cable fusible link rating, install the same rating fuse and same or heavier gauge wire as factory....Run both wires side by side, be sure it is well protected, secured, extra chafe protection sleeve, etc....You are more than doubling the potential current flow, so the existing wire might melt...I strongly advise changing the pigtail if you have any doubts.
Here is a link that will hook you up with a high output alternator.
Note:---You can go bigger than the 190amp if needed, i used that as an example. Good luck, i hope this helps.

Low battery indicator

look for corrosion on the battery terminals. Make sure they are clean and tight. The charger cannot overcome severely discharged batteries. Seperate the two batteries and use a 12 automotive battery charger to bring up the charge. Then reconnect the batteries and use the 24 volt charger to top off the charge.

Can I over charge my mobility scooter batteries with a pihsiang charger the green light wont go solid

Take the batteries to a battery shop or a Battery plus store have them load test the batteries. Deep cycle batteries are different from normal batteries. Normal batteries are design for max output for short periods of time, Deep cycle batteries are designed for a modest output for long periods of time. My batteries are rated at 35 amp/hr.. Basically a load tester places a load in amps [cranking amps] on the battery. How many cranking amps depends on if there is a voltage drop when you apply the load. I can apply 480 cranking amps before my voltage drops. What i do is load test a new battery of the same type to find out the cranking amps. You will not find a cranking amp rating for aq deep cycle battery but retail places have load testers that read in cranking amps. Use only deep cycle batteries in scooters, garden tracker batteries will not last. If the batteries are ok test the charger. A CHARGER KNOWS THE CHARGE OF THE BATTERY BY BATTERY RESISTANCE. As a battery charges its resistance get bigger. Once the battery reaches a preset resistance the light goes solid. You can have the charger checked by a battery shop. To properly charge a battery a charger will put out 27volts @ 4amps, they can easily test for voltage. Now if the charger is built in there is going to be an external fuse find it, check it. hope this helps

My battery will not charge in charger

The charge adapter may be faulty.
OR
If therecharageable battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

My SCH-a930 won't charge. I still have battery life, and the phone works fine, but the phone won't charge. I have tried multiple wall outlets. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks!

Hi,
Please, try using another charger with the phone.
If the problem continues, get a screw driver, unscrew the phone and bring the charging port out. The charging port is at the tail end of the phone.
Clean the surface of the panel where the charging port contact the panel with a spirit and allow it to dry for 30 minute. Couple back the phone and i am sure the charging phone will work fine.

I have some liebert ups 6kva i have problem in charger circuit i find transistor 13n80 have a short circuit i replace it and replace fuse in charger board 6.3a but there still problem in charging batteries...

Hi, Thanks for contacting fixya. There could be many reasons.

1. The battery is old and completed its charge-discharge cycle.
2. The step down transformer (220/110V to 12/24V) coils got shorted inside.
3. For a trickle charger, the SCR might have gone bad.

Solution for 1. Take out the battery and charge it by another charger. You can use laptop charger, cell phone charger or any charger. You might have to do a little bit circuitry. Then after 2-3 hrs of charging see if the battery voltage goes to its peak. Use a voltmeter or multimeter to measure that. If the voltage does not goes to its peak then battery is faulty. And the charger circuit has no problem.

Solution for 2. Some times step down transformer goes wrong. Measure the output voltage by a multimeter and see if it is giving the voltage what it should be. If not then change the transformer.

Solution for 3. I don't know how to determine if an SCR is wrong. The easiest way to check is to replace it and see if the battery is changing.
