From what you are describing,it may either rocker arm/valve adjustment or check,or the cam chain tensioner adjustment or replaced.just recently had to replace cam chain tensioner on a 92 gsx600f katana,because cam chain tensioner was worn out,it had made this constant clicking/rattle noise.after new replacement purrd like a kitten,hope this helps out.
