Have your alternator tested too; if it has a sick diode, it can drain the battery and also shunt current away from the starter as well as damage the battery by applying unrectified voltage on one leg of the output. I replaced SIX (6) Delco alternators in nine years on a car built in '95. It would have been more except the engine failed at 57,600 miles and I junked the lemon.
If the starter solenoid is not integrated on your Caddy, it too can fail which will cause too much lost voltage trying to get to the starter.

My 1991 Cadilac Seville has only 24,000 miles on it but the battery keeps going dead like it's being drained, and the radio and antenna are'nt getting any power, is it an ignition problem?

well i hope your not using the battery from 1991 if the car only has 24k. As for the raido check the fuses. actully remove and replace dont just stick a test light to it that just tells if your getting power to

1991 caddillac seville car ingntion turns but car wont turn on all the electrical lights come on

Look for a light on the dash that says antitheft or security. These cars had issues with this system failing and disabling the starter. If you see this light, go to this link. http://vatspasslockpasskeysecurityhelp.yolasite.com/

Trouble starting

I would check the connections to the battery, then take it to an auto parts store or auto service center to test the condition of the battery and to test the starter. If the battery is good then the starter could be going bad if the starter takes too much amperage when cranking the engine and doesn't turn at a normal rate of speed.

Replaced starter on a 1991 Cadillac DeVille still won't start

Is this possible ? Banging on the starter surely jarred either the solenoidm the starter brushes or armature. I've done that a 1000 X with poitive results, and in the end overhauled or replaced the starter. Now you say this has been going on for 2 mos or so, could there NOW be SOMETHING ELSE ( new problem ) like the battery /starter connections, ignition switch, etc causing no power to the starter , Hoping all re-connections are good.

Possible electrical short, batteries drain

ok stay with me. Buy yourself a 12V test light. Disconnect negative side of the batt. You might need 2 people for this. With test light connect ground wire to disconnected batt cable. Touch pointed end of test light in battery open terminal. If it lights up, you have a 12V drain in teh system. Now, most times you remove ONE fuse at a time and reinstall till the light goes out. MAKE SURE ALL DOORS ARE CLOSED AND EVERYTHING ELSE OFF. One you determine which circuit it is, .the fun begins. What on that circuit is draining the battery ?
