Craftsman CRT 4hp 14 inch.
makes loud shrill squealing noise when tilling.
Noise comes and goes, sounds like metal on metal, not a belt squealing.
Cant push easily in nuetral with engine off.
Gears make grinding noise, wheels wont turn.
Sometimes the pull start rope clutch gets stuck. It has 5 or six ball bearings in that pull away from the starting clutch by cintrifical force after motor starts. If one get suck it keeps the start clutch spinning. Easy fix. take Top cowling off remove wire mesh screen off and pop lid off clutch. Youll see the ball bearings. see if their rusted. Clean and replace in revirse order. good luck
