I wanted to know how to turn down the idle on my 1981 XJ 650 Maxim. Every time I come to a stop in first gear the engine races. At first I thought it was the choke. I don't know anything about motorcycle repair so a diagram would be helpful. Thanks

Hello
if you were to look upward under the carbs, about center between the middle two carbs you should notice a screw with a larger head on it. this is the idle adjusting screw. hope this helps.
