Check the cables to the base-transmitter station. If they are firmly connected or try to replace them. Most of the wireless headphones of some more advanced design detects incoming signal and switches to mode on wich indicates with another color when the sound dissapears the headphones detects no sound and goes into a powersaving mode. Usually the headphone itself doesn't fault very often, cause they are battery powered and the powersupply isn't wavering like the powertransformer to the base-station due to the irregular power from the ac outlets, wich is why any electronics should be connected to a surgearrester list.
Another thing to check for is there any sound coming from the tv/game connector, try to connect a nother speaker assembly or headphone or if the connector is of a low signal type, a amplifier with speakers or headphone make sure you don't have to much between where the sound comes from and the headphones. Let me know if some of my advice helps you!
