SOURCE: my bike tvs centra give

one way is to use efficient fuel. Only ride it down hill with the wind pushing you. The mileage of a bike is a critical factor in the buying decision and also keeping our running costs low. Many of you think that mileage is just about the cost of fuel, but it is not. A bike which gives a good mileage compared to other similar bikes is a sure indication that the health of the bike is well maintained and the rider is careful enough to get the bike frequently serviced and tuned. If you gun the engine in cold conditions as soon as you start it, there would not be enough lubrication in the engine and it leads to more friction which ultimately damages the piston and the engine and hence your mileage will be low. ome basic fuel efficiency tips that you may have already known are 1. Switch off your engine during signals with long waiting periods. 2. Change your oil according to your manufacturer's recommendations. 3. Check your tube's pressure every month... higher pressure than the recommended value would give you more mileage but less friction and stability. So keep it to the optimum value.

SOURCE: Dear Expert I have a 2009

Is it a misfire or a popping out if the exhaust?

If its a popping from the exhaust was an aftermarket slip on or full system installed?
A popping exhaust would happen when there are leaks in the system.

If its under warrenty then you should have it checked by the dealer.

How to cool my Apache rtr 160 engine

Hi, Krishna for overheating issues the usual suspects are:
1. Engine oil level and SAE weight are too low or not circulating.
2. Insufficient or blocked air flow over the engine.
3. Heavy combustion chamber carbon deposits.
4. Ignition timing retarded due to faulty MAP, CKP, or CMP sensor.
5. Carburetor jetted too lean.
6. Leaking intake or exhaust valve.
7. Water coolant old or low change every two years.
8. Water pump failure.
9. Radiator clogged, cap loose or malfunctioning.
10. Radiator fans not coming on.
11. Clutch slipping, brakes dragging, heavy load, towing a trailer etc.
12. Idling too long without moving.
13. For constant hot weather temperatures, mountain, or desert riding conditions consider adding an oil cooler and or cylinder head cooler.

2012 Apache RTR 160 HyperEdge the neutral light is not on when it is in neutral, the electric starter will not work without the clutch lever pulled in, what is the problem?

Hi, Sushant the neutral light could be a burned out bulb, faulty neutral light switch or the wiring in between, the clutch lever has a safety switch so you can't start the bike in gear for more information about your question and valuable "FREE" downloads that you will need please click on the links below. Carburetor cleaning

  1. CHECK THE ENGINE OIL (if necessary change it)
  2. SET THE RPM TO 1 OR 1.2 (at which the bike doesn't turn off when in NEUTRAL)
  3. Even this doesn't help show your bike to a well trained mechanic
