Does my manual transmission have a tranny? I cant find where to check the fluid

the tranny is the transmission and to check the fluid level there is a plug on the side of the transmission to check the fluid level,
it's in the middle of the transmission some take a 3/8 rachet to put into the square hole to remove the plug in order to check and fill the transmission with gear oil

I have a 92 GMC , 350 engine. I have no reverse and no overdrive. Any suggestions ?

I'm suspecting a 350 turbo hydramatic tranny. Pull the tranny stick inspect the fluid color and level. If fluid is brown/black and smells burned, the tranny needs an overhaul. If fluid level ok and color reddish, I would suspect a clutch issue and the tranny will require further diagnostics/repair

My 2000 concorde runs great when cold then tranny slips when hot. . . . . ?

Fluid level ok? Check it when hot and car running.

Have you had the tranny serviced recently?

This type of tranny uses the Dextron +4 fluid, any other fluid would mess up the transmission.

I have a 1999 Intrepid, no problem w tranny, but a month ago I put an aditive that a friend recomended. After only about 5 miles I felt the car more responsive and with more power. I also think my gas mileage improved.

I got it at AutoZone the brand is RISLONE Transmission Stop Slip with Leak Repair
it says works with all types of fluids.

I hope this will help. Good luck

Cant find where to put in tranny fluid on my 1994 mazda mx3

Fluid goes into the tube that the dipstick is in.You need a tube with a funnel on the end and pour it in slowly to the correct level

E30 325i auto gearbox does not pull

There are two possibilies but first check that fluid level is proper. Either you have something wrong with the valves inside the tranny but it sounds more like you have burned up at least one of the clutch packs inside the auto tranny. Check your fluid level first and foremost. After that you are going to have to remove the tranny and pull it apart to find the problem. Prefferably bring it to someone who knows how to rebuild trannys.

CAR WONT GO OVER 30 MPH

Sounds like your tranny is on the way out. I had a similar problem with my '91 Legacy and it required a tranny rebuild (or a used replacement which would have cost about the same).
Check your tranny fluid level and condition. Be sure to check for leaks. If its very low or empty, or really dirty (it should look red/pink, not dark or smell "burned"), it may be that a fluid replacement may remedy the shifting issue. A friend of mine had tranny issues where it was stuck in first gear, and it turned out that he never changed the tranny fluid in almost 80K miles, and a tranny flush and fluid replacement at his local Jiffy Lube solved the problem. Who knows what his neglect cosy him in longevity through.
Hope this helps.

I cant find the transmission fluid dip stick or where to fill it

The manual transmission does not have a dipstick. The fluid level is determined by a fill plug in the side of the tranny. If the fluid is up to the level of the fill hole, then it is full.
