Hi there i have a sHOPRIDER MOBILITY SCOOTER WHICH HAS NOT BEEN USED FOR ABOUT SIX MONTHS AND I NOW NEED TO USE IT I HAVE TRIED TO CHARGE IT UP BUT THE BATTERY INDICATOR ON THE SCOOTER SAYS ITS FULL SO IVE TRIED TO MOVE IT WITH THE IGNITION ON BUT ALL I GET IS THE SOUND OF A MOTOR ROTATING BUT NO MOVEMENT AT ALL COULD IT BE BATTRIES NOT GIVING OUT ENOUGH POWER PLEASE HELP!!!

The battery it is dying and it dead and the core of the battery it self can't retain enough the of charge of the electricities for to the battery to move the scooter.Change to a brand new battery ur scooter should work fine.

    check to see if you are in free wheel, if so move levers to drive position.

SOURCE: shoprider mobility scooter seems to die of power

Hi my shoprider mobility scooter keeps stopping. Have to switch it off for few mins then it worked. Now when it stops its not starting again and has to be pushed. Has new batterys about 6 mths ago and have checked all connections but cant find any problem. Please help. Pam x

hi Rik, if you checked all the visible fuses, you may need to check the controller situated at the rear of the scooter above the motor, a black box, inside you find a fuse that is used to tiller battery gauge etc ..

Shoprider 888 mobility scooter, when you plug the charger in the scooter the green light just blinks on the charger. Tried 3 chargers. The battery is not completely dead, I can still ride it.
the type of battery these mobility scooters use do not charge if the battery gets really flat. I had a relative who had his scooter taken off him by the nursing home and they left it stored in a shed without plugging it into a charger . Once it got flat the batteries would not charge at all. Hi Aissa, you don't need to use a shoprider charger for your scooter as long as the connector( three pin ) is the same it will charge your batteries.
