Got a 92 S10 Blazer 4.3 Vortec with CPI. will start with priming but wont stay running. Replaced pump (x2), filter, spider (x3). Third spider got it started and ran ok for 20 minutes. Shut off to cool down and now wont restart without primming but wont stay running again. First spider was leaking through the regulator. 2nd wouldnt do anything and 3rd ran a while and quit. Normally I would not waste time or money on a car this old but it is in fantastic shape and all works (except the motor).

    Your pressure raglan can be bad which might be underneath your intake depending what model engine you have or it can be your feul pump is bad lock at your vin # and see if you have vin #z or vin # w the vin z is a low pressure feul pump vin w is high pressure eulogy pump it also can be bad relays can cause that too. Check your dist. they have a bad habit of changing timing when hot , had same problem with 1992 s10 blazer, replaced fuel pump 3 times with no fix , replaced dist. and has benn running fine ever since.

Have you checked the coolant sensor or replaced it, and also have you looked at the fuel spider, I hear they go bad and cause it too run ruff and rich.

Im working on a 95 s10 blazer.It has the 4.3 engine.It will only start if it is sprayed with starting fluid.the fuel pump,fuel filter,and pressure regulator have all been replaced.Seems like the system...

It sounds like the fuel pump is not working. Perhaps the install was not completed correctly. Things to check, fuel pump relay, wiring, voltage to the pump.
The priming happens as soon as you put the key in and turn it to "acc" (you may hear a humming sound). Then once you turn it to "start" the injectors and spark plugs start firing.
Another possibility is that the fuel filter was installed backwards.

Know if my 95 chevy blazer has a spider CPI?

A spider injector is located underneath the intake plenum and this is multi-port. Otherwise you have a throttle body injector system. Vortec engines have spider injectors and they are super expensive to replace ($400.00- 850.00) each ! There is only one spider injector for each engine it has 6 legs/fuel tubes that go to each cylinder.

I'd put more fuel in it and see what happens. But I'm going to guess that you are having a problem with your injector. These cpi systems are notorisous(<spelling?) for problems.

does it make any difference if the engine is cold or warm ? if when its warm and it starts ok your spider part is not working properly or not plugged in right check it again .. check it by using starting fluid if it starts ok its the spider part bad .. did you replace it with new ? holler if you need more Jerry

I have a chevy blazer 94 S10 still quit on the road.

How is it running before it quits onyou. This could be the culprit of an egr valve. How many miles on thevehicle. The egr seems to die on a certain mileage pattern. Also youcould start by cleaning the egr valve before replacing it. This couldvery well help the situation, but this is just a guess. Hope thishelps!!

My 94 blazer wont start

I have the same problem with my 95 blazer I have heard that it is the fuel pressure regulator. That is the next part I will be replaceing.
