I have a 2002 suzuki 1400cc and I am wanting to replace the clutch becasue when it gets hot the bike won't pull its self. It has 12k miles on it and the clutch works well enough when cool, but stops working when it starts to warm or get hot

Please dont be offended but i ride and know a clutch should last for many many more miles. Have you properly adjusted it. If im not mistaken its a mechanical clutch and its easely adjusted at the cable. Good luck

2002 katana wont move in gear after a loud clunk in gear case?

It sounds as if the clutch actuating rod has either failed or is not set up properly. Unless you know the complete history of a new (secondhand ) motor you should treat it as broken until proved otherwise. The problem with this type of bike is that younger riders use them as they are cheap and fast. So, they will go as fast as they can, but without looking after the bike. Probably the reason the engine was available in the first place.

Buell Blast 2000 -problem starting the bike -

That's NOT A KNOWN PROBLEM. He unloaded HIS PROBLEM ON YOU. The best I can figure is that the engine is looking for a ELECTRICAL GROUND and finding one through the cluch cable(only reason it gets hot). Check the battery terminals and cables. Make sure they are clean and TIGHT. Check the engine mount on the front of the motor near the neck of the bike and make sure NONE of the bolts are stripped or vibrated loose or missing. Check to see if there is a ground cable/strap that comes off of the frame and goes to the motor too. Look under the gastank for that one.

I have replaced the battery and ignition unit on my 1985 suzuki 700 es, the bike really sounds like it wants to run but wont start. Starter turns but engine won't kick over. Any Ideas?

Is it getting gas properly? Has it been sitting around for a while? The carburators on motorcycles need to cleaned after sitting around. The jet could be full of varnish. Are you getting spark for sure? Pull out a spark plug and put it in the wire, crank it over and see if the spark plug sparks. When you pulled the plug was it wet at all with gas? Then it probably isn't getting gas right. Just some of the things you could try.

Loosing torque when engine heats up..... feels like clutch is not engaging even though in gear. Bike runs fine for the first 10 minutes or so, but as soon as engine oil heats up, bike is no longer...

possible not enough clutch free play
engine oil is not used in the clutch assembly
it is a special clutch/ transmission oil
wrong oil will cause the clutch plates to slip

Checked fuses all of them r good the bike will not start has new battery

Check the safety switches, specifically the neutral detect and clutch safety.
If the bike thinks it's in gear, or that the clutch isn't pulled in, it won't start!
Check the wiring to the starter relay.

1996 Suzuki Intruder 1400cc - can't exceed 60mph and runs rough. Think the timings off but I can't find how to check and set it ? 14,000 miles on it.Any possible solutions ?

i thought timing was electronic and when it is off the bike simply will not run---have u looked at air filters--these bikes come stock with a black foam filter which breaks down through time and could either pollute or restrict air flow through carbs. even at only 14000 miles.
