I have a 1995 Mercedes Benz C220. I'm trying to fix my AC. I know it's an A12 Setup and i need to convert it to the r-134a. I was searching around the engine and could only find one port for the AC. Most places only evacuate or discharge the AC if it has 2 ports. Basically, i'm wondering if it has a second port somewhere that i can't find. Once i have it discharged/evacuated i was going to convert it myself with the ez-chill kit. Any suggestions?

The ports for the AC are in front near the grill on the left side and if you follow that tube downwards, the second one is beneath the power steering assembly

How to convert my a/c r12 to 134a my car is mercedes e300 1986

As far as I know you only have to change the compressor and dryer-filter to comply with 134a. Other components from old Freon 12 are safe to use for 134a. There's an Urban (mechanics) legend that you can use a 134a to an r12 system, but you can't use an r12 to a newer 134a system. But be on the safe side, change the compressor and dryer to use 134a or ask an expert on refrigeration.

Repair station says the AC Expansion Valve leaks on my ML320. they want over $700 to fix it. Is that reasonable?

The part can be purchased aftermarket for $20-50 and the labor for the A/C evac and recharge is roughly around $125-175 with R-134a and labor for R&R is arounda couple hours. Really it's going to take some shopping around but make sure they know what they are doing and you can find a better price.

Recently started having problems with convertible top getting stuck in both the opened and closed positions. 1995 Mercedes-Benz SL500. Any idea what the problem might be? And, is there any way to bypass...

hopefully will be a easy fix this one, first check the micro-switches for the roof assembly (in the boot) and check any ground wire connections

you could try resetting the system also as this may help

if its still the same after this post back and ill try and help again.

1992 mercedes benz 300 a/c not cooling

Has to take 134. R-12 is banned and no longer availabl. Ac should be serviced by a person fully knowledgeable of the system and in possession of proper tools. Lack of either could cause further problems.- sorry. They sell kits for quick charges but those do cause problems at times because it skips certain procedures.
