When I try to start the car it won't turn on, but it sound like it wants to. I tried changing the fuel pump, sparkplugs, coil, and the relay. If it's not that then what can it be?
Try taking off the air intake hose at the front of the throttle body, and spray some WD-40 inside the throttle body, while someone tries to start it with gas pedal slightly pushed down. If it fires up & runs temporarily, you've got a fuel delivery problem.

The key switch went bad in my 88 Honda DX.I found out the problem quite by accident.Try playing with the switch very carefully and see if it will start for you! Yes the engine will spin buy it will not feed the coil so it will start.Good Luck!
hi there, first off you need to make sure the voltage is good, then make sure your spark plugs are firing properly(all 4) then take off the fuel line coming out of the fuel rail to the tank(not the one coming into fuel rail from fuel pump) and swing the engine and make sure the fuel is flowing. Once you can verify that everything in the above is operational then we can continue with the diagnosis of the car.
Worst case scenario - fuel filter, spark plugs and /or leads, distributor cap, coil pack or fuel pump may need changing.
1991 honda accords had a recall on the ignition control module this in the distributor more commonly known as the igniter. call a honda dealer with your vin number and they will tell you yours has been replaced or not. Mine was so had to to buy one at auto parts store for $60 .kinda expensive for this little chip with 4 wires.
Try pounding on the gas tank with a rubber mallet or similar tool. (careful not to dent the tank) Try starting it. If it runs, replace the fuel pump (it's nfg). I've diagnosed numerous fuel pumps this way. Remember the pump needs to be replaced, if you drive it, you don't know when it'll fail for good. Hope this helps. Please post the results.
