The problem then is that you have a switch that is located on the firewall behind your brake pedal this is called a micro switch and can easly be replaced, however this is a dealer only item and can be a little pricey. for safety issues have a certified tech install it, also this would eliminate any warrenty issues as well.

2008 odyssey brake fuse location

Hi there:
The simplest way to check the brake light fuse on a Honda is to operate the horn. The horn is always on the same fuse as the brakelights.

The fuse position #7, "Stop" is the one. Ive been doing this so long I dont even look at the fuse unless the horn won't blow. It's the fastest surest test. So if the horn works, I'm 99 % sure its the bulbs. The brake light switch has to be good if the shifter works with the brake pedal. Unless the car has been taken apart or damaged in the rear recently I cant see another cause for the light to be out.

The brake lights even use different grounds, so thats unlikely too.
Hope this helps; also keep in mind that your feedback is important and I`ll appreciate your time and consideration if you leave some testimonial comment about this answer.

Tail lights stop working ive change fuse, bulbs, check relay it all check fine turn, brake, hazzards lights all work just the tail & inside cluster lights are not working please help.

The tail lights and dash lights are on two different circuits. The main link would be the headlight switch. I would check for voltage there first.

My brake lights are not working on my dodge durango 5.9 liter 360 hp 2001 ive changed the fuse for the hazard lights, they are working fine now and ive changed the bulbs. the switch under the brake pedal...

Hello and welcome to FixYa!

Try to check the ground of the tail lights. It can be disconnected or worn out. It's a black colored wire that needs to be attached on the car's body. This can do the trick.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Brake lights and cruise control don 't work

Firstly check the bulbs back there and of course the fuses in the fuse panel. If all bulbs and fuses are good check the brake pedal switch at the pedal itself, ensure it gets power and is closing when you press the pedal, with an ohmmeter. good luck

Brake lights not working but third brake light works?

Check your fuse for the brakes, if fuse is blown replace. If not fuse go buy a package of brake light bulbs at the auto store. Then replace the bulbs.

Hope this helps
