Having difficulty finding the proper spark plug gap setting for a 1940 chevy coup with 216 c.i. engine????

The correct gap for that engine is .035 Inch and the proper spark plug is an A/C Delco CR43TS Torqued to 11lbs ft.

If you have the 3.5 liter engine, that is the correct gap. If you have the 2.2 liter engine the proper gap is .042. Hope this helps...

1. Remove the spark plug wires. Use a socket wrench to remove the spark plugs from their chambers.
   
2. Clean the spark plug if you are not replacing it with a new one. Remove all dirt and debris from the spark plug.
