I have Corolla 2008, my car AC works well but when it trips (goes from AC to fan), it takes a long time to return back to AC. I have discussed with many technicians here in KSA, some say that compressor and condensor need to be replaced and some say only thermostat problem. In my personal openion, AC compressor is working fine and produces cold air but when it switches to fan mode, takes longer time, for that i need to switch off AC and switch on again many times for compressor to start. Please help if some one has some solution, thanks Dr. Muneer (KSA)

The Condenser only gets replaced if it is damaged & leaking
If you have a major compressor failure it could catch debris
So forget that

The Compressor will show how it is doing on the A/C
manifold gauge set,as far as cycling pressures & they
could jump it if you had control issues
So assuming no leaks & proper charge, as you do
Not that

It is not coming on because the system does not sense
enough BTU's of heat & the need to do so

I can not help you as to the system components as I
have no data at all

This is a social web site & very helpful to a lot of folks

If it has an electronic module involved, then they should use
a scan tool to command the system on,& you will find your
problem

I would, as they should have, a system schematic or they
are lost with no where to even start

How to Toyota Corolla 2015 reset odometer ?

Hold the button down that changes the display from miles to trip. Set to trip, hold down for as many seconds as it takes to return to zero. You can only do this w the trip indicator. Can't reset actual miles. Look for a button that says reset. It will be marked.

i dont know if you have a cabin air filter if you do replace it if its real dirty. most cars ac will have this problem if the ac is low on freon. when you check the freon. make sure the ac is on max ac, at its coldest setting with the fan on max. with the engine running check ac pressure. have someone hit the gas a little & see if the pressure drops. add as needed. most gauges from the parts store have a dial on the front. point it at outside temp & make sure pressure is the max for that range.

2008 ford expedition air conditioning problems

the ac pressure depends on the gas in use
r314 runs at high pressures
overheating at slow speeds indicate an inefficient coolant fan and the high ac pressures indicate that the condenser fan also is not operational
if it has a viscous fan hub , replace the fan hub
if it has electric fans check / the fans, fan relay , fuses , coolant temp sensor

2003 civic temps go up with ac on

Seems like the a/c radiator fan is not working. Either the fan itself is broken, or the power wires that drive it are not connected. The fan is tripped by a/c compressor activity, and goes through a relay unit, which actually trips the voltage that feed this particular fan. You can check fan activity with car parked, and turning on the a/c . if you cant recognize the louder noise of this fan, stick a straw into the fan to check if it is turning. Careful with fingers.

Toyota corolla 2008 rpm goes up when ac is on and its hard to control it in traffic

The revs should step up by 2-300rpm when AC is on to help the idle cope with the extra load. This is controlled by an AC relay but if removed the AC will no longer function. On some Toyota's the dealer can plug into your car and adjust the settings. Give them a call to find out if possible on your car.

Make sure your fans are running. It sounds like your fans are not working all the time. With the AC on the fans should run constantly. Check fan relays and fuses.
