Theres a manual flap that seperates air from outside,an air from heater near floor under dash.....if stuck will do this.....also if thermostat is old an wont close ,tempature cannot build.....if it has a thermostat,if missing.......wont heat up
If you know where the heater hoses are, lift the hood after car has warmed up I mean the engine running for at least five minutes, feel the heater hoses, if they are warm or hot and still no heat from the heater, you have an in line proiblem. if hoses remain cold, replace the thermostat with a winter thermostat.
is it HOT or just not as cold. If its HOT, like heated air, there is a door problem, if its just not cool, the a/c refridgerent is low and will need a recharge, most likely the comp is leaking.
Sounds like a problem with the "Drivers side temp actuator motor".
Each side has a motor that controlls the temp. door inside the dash for the driver or passenger side. These motors are approx. $75, plus 1 hr. labor to install. See more info here... http://www.greatautohelp.com/more-buick-questions.html
