Where does the small wire from the starter go to on a 1993 ford crown victoria?

It's located under the car on the passenger (right) side between the front tire and door area.

When the new wiring or socket went in,
did you check for power & ground first

Sort of need that

Fuse and or wiring to alternator small exciter wire needs ignition voltage for it to work

Sounds like the starter failed> If you have a small hammer lightly rap on the starter acouple of times > if it starts that will confirm you need a starter> Repkace the starter ASAP. if not call a tow truck> NOTE: don't get burned if the vehicle is hot > let it cool down.

Have you checked the starter solenoid.it will be mounted on fender near battery, will have a large wire coming from battery to terminal on one side and a large wire going to starter from terminal on the other side.Will alsp have a small wire coming from ignition switch , you should have 12 volts on both big terminals when the small terminal is supplied with 12 volts.Good luck!

check and clean battery terminals, maybe cut about an inch off

there is a loose connection on the small wire that hooks to the starter. jack up the car and tap on the wire and starter and it will crank. i had to put a new crimp connector on mine. its starting just fine now. done this to 3 1994's and 2 1993's good luck let me know how it goes. sawdust46

Rear of engine, passenger side, right above the oil pan.

if it wont crank check the battery/cables then check starter also check fuses to starter
