It shouldn't have. You may have a bad transmission. Check your fluids.
No. Nothing done during an inspection would effect the transmission in that way. Before anything else, check the transmission fluid.
Fluid level great--Car is not driven much sets in garage --are there any sensors that could have gone out and if so can this be checked through the computer???????
Although the car is not obd2, any reputable repair shop should have the scam tool to retrieve the codes. The problem may be a solenoid, or something in the valve body keeping the clutches from engaging, and that isn't nessasarily detected by the computer. Automatic transmissions are ridiculously complicated, you've already done what you can by checking the fluid. The slipping you're experiencing isn't caused by a bad sensor, or anything that the inspection would have caused really. Don't drive the car how it is, you could damage the clutch packs. The transmission used in your car is pretty bulletproof internally and I would suspect a fairly simple mechanical repair as opposed to a major transmission problem. Have it towed to a good repair shop and they should have you on your way fairly quickly, for not too much money. Good luck.
