Grinding and whinning noise suddenly coming from driver side rear end on my 97 Grand Cherokee Ltd 5.2 it is 4wd all the time. Only does this when moving in gear

Have differential(s) serviced. Ensure correct friction modifier is added to gear oil. I have this problem every 40-50 or so thousand miles.
