The ABS light on our 2005 Chrysler Tow and Country Van is on all the time when the vehicle is running. Why? My husband has checked the brakes and they are fine. How can we fix this problem?

ABS runs off the speed sensors located in the wheel bearing. You have to replace the entire bearing to fix it. Just because the ABS is not working correctly doesn't mean that you don't have brakes. They will continue to work. You can have it scanned for free at a parts store. Repost with the code number/s and we can go from there. Also it could be another problem other than the speed sensors. Let me know

Why is brake and ABS light on in town & country 2008

Highly likely that your vehicle may not stop next time you press on the brake pedal. Either the master cylinder is failing, the ABS module is failing, your brake servo is failing, or you have lost a significant amount of brake fluid due to a leak. IT IS URGENT THAT YOU GET THE VEHICLE TO A REPAIR SHOP IMMEDIATELY TO HAVE IT LOOKED AT. IT IS DANGEROUS TO DRIVE THE VEHICLE IT WHEN THOSE LIGHTS ARE ILLUMINATED SIMULTANEOUSLY.

Abs light on

go to parts store & check codes. sometimes they do it for free that will tell you if theres is a wheel speed sensor bad. also check all the brake lights some vehicles will disable the abs if there is an open circuit (bad light bulb)

Hi...i have a 2005 chrysler town & country sto & go LX 3.3L V-6 mini van....for some reason the brakes r acting up....sometimes they work sometimes the pedal goes all the way to the floor....master...

its sounds like it could be a bad master cylinder with an internal leak.it could also be a problem with the abs hydraulic module that for some reason is bypassing brake fluid within the unit itself.these problems won`t neccessarily turn on the dash light or activate the abs light.

2005 Chrysler town and country abs light on, but no trouble codes showing. car brakes seem to be fine.

We own a 2005 Chrysler Pacifica (3.8 litre) and currently have the same problem. This has happened at least 2 other times on our vehicle. Our trouble code was for a faulty ABS wheel sensor, and after searching the internet I found A LOT of other Pacifica owners had the same problem. The first time this happened to us, it was covered under the Chrysler warranty. The second time, it cost about $275 to repair. This is something that only a Chrysler / Dodge dealer can diagnose and repair. At first, we went to Firestone and they preceded to replace the brake pads, rotors, flushed the master cylinder and nothing they did seemed to work. Finally, I went to the Chrysler dealer and they immediately diagnosed the problem and fixed it. I am not sure if the computer will actually report a trouble code for the ABS problem or not. I will warn you that even though the brakes seem fine, eventually they WILL fail on you and you will have SIGNIFICANTLY reduced stopping power. Our light went on while we were down the interstate at 70 mph, and let me tell you that was a very scary situation with me, wife and two kids with NO CONTROL over how fast we could stop. Take your vehicle to the dealer and get fixed, it's not worth risking an accident. Good luck!

Why is the brake pettel hard and motor runs all the time that the key is on 1993 chrysler van abs brakes

Well the ABS motor certainly is not supposed to be running all the time. I would disconnect it. Brakes should be normal without it.
Just remember to no longer lock them up in an emergency.
You can easily stop shorter than ABS can if you pump the brakes properly.

Abs light comes on along with the track off light

first check the sensor wiring at the front wheels behind the rotors is a wire that runs into the hub and out to the abs control unit if the connection is not properly connected or the wire has a break it will erratically set off the abs sensor [check light ] which shuts down the abs module and u have normal brakes if wiring and connections are good have the vehicle scanned the van should have the problem code stored in the computer as a fault problem this will give u a start point most auto stores will scan a vehicle for free and give u the code and meaning such as auto zone / advanced auto check in ur area good luck

Brake warning light came on on my 2005 chrysler town and country Van

If it is the (BRAKE!) light the sensor in the master cylinder is sensing that the vehicle is low on brake fluid. Very seriously check the mastercylinder and be sure that the fluid is full. If the light is on, and the fluid appears full the sensor in the master cylinder may be stuck and giving the computer a false reading. If the fluid is low, fill with fluid and get the vehicle to a service center, when the fluid is gone so are your brakes so be careful.
