1997 GMC Sierra extended cab. Left turn signal not working, I have had this problem for a few days now. Right signal works fine, left will flash on the dash indicator just once then dim same as all the exterior lights. Had it in my shop last night changing a right tail light board and then it worked for a few hours then back to same problem. Tried putting a new tail light board in, tried a new flasher as well tried new signal switch still having the problem consistantly. All the lights will light up but no flashing. Thinking it may be ground but hoping someone has had some problem or has any suggestions. Thanks, Steve

I do have a hitch on it. It has been installed for many years though. The truck had a factory line of wires and those were used for the trailer plug. I will check those grounds. Much appreciated

Sounds like you may have a hitch installed on your vehicle and the ground wire between it and the taillight is damaged. if it doesnt have a hitch the most likely cause is still a ground at the rear of the truck on the frame rail drivers side where the factory wiring is located for the trailer plug. this is a common issue. i hope this helps

1997 gmc sierra extended cab - turn on the right turn signal and all of the lights go on but do not flash on and off and get a single buzz from the flasher unit. turn on the left turn signal and all works...

I would start by replacing the flasher, then if you still have a problem then check the bulbs for the rightside, make sure they all are good and the sockets are good, this sounds like a bad flasher.

Rear parking lights dont work 2001 GMC sierra

It would then be a bad ground. Start at the bulb fixtures cleaning and refastening; look for cracked broken wires as you go. A little multimeter will help.

Left turn signal flashing quickly at night.

This is common, remove the left tail light, find the ground wire, (uasualy white).make sure it is getting a good connection in the tail light plug, and on the frame.

Left turn signal does not blink properly.

More than likely it is going to be your clock spring behind the steering wheel.
