Well, it is going to cost to fix, seeing they have to pull the engine, but with only 164k, you have a lot of life left in it, and for $600 bucks you can't beat it. I bought a 94 Rodeo, for parts for my truck, it is made on the same assembly line as the Subaru, it has 229k miles on it and runs great, I took the tag off my other truck and have been driving this around till I find another parts truck for the both of them now, the good one has 250k miles on it and runs great, tranny went bad on it. now back to the Subaru, To get to the rear and front seals, they have to pull the pan and drop the crank, only way to do it is with the engine out, so while the engine is out, you might as well redo the whole thing. If the car falls apart in the meantime, sell the new engine, they are in demand, especially a 4 valve. I would pull the heads, have them done, re-seat the valves, plane the heads, new gaskets, new plugs, wires, water pump, timing chain, belt whichever engine you have, new seals, gaskets, flush the engine, flush the tranny or dump the 90 weight and put in some slick 90. Or both, you have a gearbox for the front drive along with the automatic tranny fluid if it is automatic, all this should be under $1,000, so for 1600 bucks, you got a brand new car, that is almost 20 years old. The body rust would tell me what to do, if there is no rust, great, if it is a rust bucket, keep looking.

Rear main seal (slow) leak on a acura 95 legend. how soon should it be fixed and how much will it cost?

With any leak it should be fixed as soon as possible as far as cost, that will depend on teh shop you take it to and which method they use to replace it. They typically have 2 options, pull the transmission and replace it from the outside or pull the motor and replace the seal. Typically a Transmission shop will charge you about $600 to $800 to remove and install a Transmission plus the cost of the part and the labor to install the new seal.

you could try a stop leak for transmissions but if it comes out fast while driving it may be a really bad seal and stop leak may not work. Over 1,000 as motor must be pulled.

Toyota Camry 1995 model. Oil leaking, How to fix it? recommend a place where i can fix this problem. how much it will cost?

How to fix it and how much will it costs will depend on where the leak is. Best thing to do is observe on the floor the exact spot of the dripping , and then trace upwards to see where it comes from. Most common oil leakage is from improperly screwed oil filter or gasket seal on said filter. Distributor seal is another source of leakage and also valve cover gaskets. When you say "leaking" i assume it is an external leak. If oil consumption can be visible in the exhaust, such as white smoke, it is a different story altogether.

There is oil on top of the pistons

Valve Seals are bad, you need the head rebuilt, new seals and valves. You could try a stop leak product to espand the seals if it has been sitting for awhile. I would not buy anything expensive, but it would be worth a shot, before you have to tear off the top of the engine. Mechanics refer to it as a "Head Job" Well old school mechs. Ask around. I know it is not the PC term, but it is definately Valve Seals oil is leaking past these seals and into the combustion chamber.

How hard is it to replace the oil pan in an '04 Acura TL?

As to how hard it is to replace that depends. If you can remove the oil pan without removing any other parts then it is a simple repair. But if you must remove other parts in order to remove the pan it can be more difficult. Crawl under the car and see what must be removed in order to get the pan off. If you can buy a new oil pan for $95 then by all means buy it and replace it yourself or hire a trusted mechanic to do it for you. I can assure you it will not cost $300. At least find out what it will cost if done by someone other than the dealer. Honda's are reliable cars but their oil pan drain plugs are not. The problem is Honda uses an aluminum drain plug washer and this requires you to torque it to 29 ft/lbs in order for it to seal properly. Over time this will cause the pan threads, which are weak, to distort and eventually end up stripping out. The solution when you install your new oil pan is to not use an aluminum washer and instead use a fiber washer. If you pay someone else to change your oil, be sure and tell them to leave the fiber washer in place and not to install an aluminum washer. You then torque it to 15 ft/lbs and never have a leak or stripped threads. Another alternative is to just replace the drain plug with an inexpensive rubber drain plug you can purchase at any auto parts store. It will seal the drain and you just throw it away and install a new one at every oil change.

Could be quite costly. Especially the rear main seal on the engine. You have to take the trans out to even get to it. I would look for something else with less problems to buy.
