2005 Chevrolet Cavalier Logo

I just put a new battery in my 2005 Chevy Cavalier and now the alarm system won't let me start the car. The alarm system was not working before I changed the battery and my remote has a dead battery so I can't disarm the car. Any suggestions on how to get the car to start?

See if your starter relay is switched out with one that works with your remote. If it is, switch it real quick with another relay switch like it (the blower motor one is similar) and see if the car starts with that. Might just be your relay switch. I found this out today troubleshooting another problem! Good luck! PS: If you are lucky you still have an instrument panel that works, lol...mine has been out for 2 years now! No other major problems though, can't complain till today.
