Take a flash light and look down into the tube if you can see the stick,,,chew some bubbke gum up and put it on the end of a straw the the dipstick penatrate the bubble gum the pull up slowly and twist it,,,if it dosent work go to Autozone or o'reillys get the 2 pice appoxey..the one you need is in a plastic tube approx. 1" round by 3" long I think its called quick steel....Place it on the inside of the straw pusu it over the dipstick let it set for 30 min. it should pull it out DO NOT let any of the appoxy get on the outside of the straw it will weld to the inside wall of your tube....If that does not work you will most likely have to drop the oil pan.

Where is the oil dip stick located on 2002 cavalier 4 cyl

If you can't see separate oil dipstick (usually has an yellow plastic handle), then your oil level dipstick is connected to oil filler cap. When you unscrew the oil cap you'll be able to see the dipstick and level meter.

Broken dipstick removal on 1.8l Nissan Sentra.

There have been issues with dipstick handles breaking off and dipstick stuck in tube. Here is a simple way to remove that broken dipstick. On the valve cover there is a hose that leads to the intake tube. Remove this hose and with a blow nozzle blow compressed air into the valve cover. The broken dipstick will shoot out of the tube. Simply install the new dipstick into the tube.

Toyota yaris problem

Do Not do that!! Anything foreign in the sump is a really bad idea.It way make its way to the oil pickup screen and partially block the flow of oil. This has the potential to damage your engine. At the bottom of the dipstick tube is usually a small bolt that attaches the tube to the side of the engine.I would remove this and see if I can fish it out then.Failing this you will have to drop the oil pan and get it that way.I know this may seem like a trivial thing but the potential is there to do a lot of damage.
If bits of plastic get past the screen and get into your engine any cost to get the stick out will seem very minor. good luck

Where is the oil dipstick on a 1998 mazda 626

It's on the left hand side of the motor. It is yellow in color, if you cannot find it, chances are that the dipstick handle is broken off. That was a major flaw for those cars. Look on the left hand side and see if you see anything that resembles a broken handle or dipstick tube. Very common, but you will find it

Broken dipstick engine oil

Shouldn't be to hard. Find where the sleeve is connected to the side of the engine. Usually one bolt. Remove the bolt. Remove dipstick sleeve from your engine. Then you can use a wire hanger from the other end to push it up. Or down which ever is easiest..

The plastic ball and about 3/16 inch on the end of the dipstick when I checked the oil. Can this broken end cause any engine problems? Does the oil pump have a screen on the intake to prevent the end from...

Yes it does have a screen. If the actual dipstick is metal you could install a magnetic drain plug in the oil pan & you would likely find that piece attached to it next oil change. 95% chance it won't cause you any grief. if it is a plastic dipstick you won't have to worry about it at all.

One way is to remove the tube from the engine block or the other way is to use a coat hanger and heat the end of the hanger red and then slide into the tube as so it can melt into the plastic try not to wiggle hanger and allow to cool then try to pull out, this may need to be done a few times to remove the dip stick, note dont push down hard as to not push the stick in further, hope this helps.
